Un taller sobre los artistas que utilizan la tecnología para manipular imágenes de video en tiempo real, complementando actuaciones musicales de diversos tipos.
Seis ediciones son ya las celebradas de Juventud Cantabria.Net, un encuentro destino a los jóvenes que organiza la Dirección General de Juventud del Gobierno de Cantabria, y en el cual pueden disfrutar durante un fin de semana de la informática en compañía, con acceso a Internet de muy alta velocidad, talleres y charlas de cuestiones tecnológicas variadas y concursos y actividades de diverso tipo.
En esta ocasión, como en todas las anteriores, La Factoría del Ritmo se involucró en el evento, contando con Polimúsica como socio fundamental para dar forma al Taller de Tecnología Musical. Este año la actividad se destinó al mundo de los Video Jockeys y Txo!?, del colectivo navarro DropezFrames, fue el encargado de impartir el taller.
Txo!? es videojockey de La Kermes (el grupo en el que militan actualmente varios miembros de Hechos Contra el Decoro), licenciado en Bellas Artes y junto a su colectivo tiene una larga experiencia en directo, pues ha participado en conciertos de grupos de diversos estilos musicales y también ha trabajado con DJs de diversas tendencias, complementando los espectáculos musicales con sus montajes visuales.
En el taller explicó lo que es un Video Jockey, en contraste con un Disc Jockey, y relato sus historia, desde las aventuras remotas de los años 70, hasta los planteamientos cada vez más cercanos a los actuales de los años 80 y 90. Sin olvidar las distintas tendencias que existen de esta forma de arte.
También explicó los recursos artísticos con los que cuenta un Video Jockey, para luego repasar en profundidad el hardware que se utiliza, la forma en que éste se usa, lo que ofrece el nuevo software y la combinación de ambos, hardware y software, que hoy en día permite una gran libertad y creatividad. Todo ello trufado de ejemplos y demostraciones.
Finalmente, se sorteó un teclado controlador MIDI entre los asistentes al taller, por cortesía de Polimúsica, Edirol y el Gobierno de Cantabria.
La “party” Juventud Cantabria.net se celebró los días 5, 6 y 7 de octubre. El taller de Tecnología Musical se realizó el día 6, sábado, a las doce de la mañana.
